Responsible Gambling
Our Commitment
Lishai.ca is committed to promoting responsible gambling. We believe gambling should be an enjoyable, affordable entertainment activity — not a source of financial stress or personal harm. We encourage all visitors to gamble responsibly and to use the tools and resources available to them.
Signs of Problem Gambling
Recognising problem gambling early makes recovery easier. Watch for these warning signs:
- Spending more money on gambling than you can afford
- Chasing losses by continuing to gamble to win back lost money
- Gambling interfering with work, relationships, or other responsibilities
- Lying to family or friends about gambling habits
- Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when not gambling
- Using gambling as an escape from problems or difficult emotions
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
- Failed attempts to reduce or stop gambling
Responsible Gambling Tools
All licensed casinos on our recommended list offer these tools free of charge:

Underage Gambling Prevention
All casinos on our list require age verification. We recommend parents use parental control software (e.g., Net Nanny, Norton Family) to restrict access to gambling websites for minors. If you suspect a minor has accessed a gambling site, contact the casino's customer support and the relevant provincial gambling regulator immediately.
Self-Assessment Tool
Ask yourself these questions honestly:
- Do you spend more time gambling than you originally planned?
- Have you gambled with money needed for essential expenses?
- Do you feel a need to gamble with increasing amounts to get excited?
- Have you tried to stop gambling and found it difficult?
- Do you gamble to escape worry or trouble?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, please consider speaking to a gambling support counsellor. Help is available and recovery is possible.
